North Charleston police arrest Berkeley County man linked to four business burglaries
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities have arrested a Berkeley County man suspected of four recent business burglaries in North Charleston.
A 55-year-old man, Dale Roberts, has been charged with four counts of burglary, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
The most recent burglary happened on June 20 at a Jiffy Lube on Rivers Avenue, where authorities say the estimated cost of damage and items stolen is $5,350 at this time. According to the report, he took cash and coins from the drawer.
The first incident reported was on June 5, and officers say Roberts broke into a Seasons of Tokyo on Rivers Avenue and took approximately $300 from the cash drawer and attempted to take from the tip jar, but was unsuccessful.
Also, according to the report, Roberts broke into the By Claudia Esthetics Institute in North Charleston, where he is accused of taking two laptops, a computer case, and a book bag sometime between June 14 to June 16.
Authorities believe he is suspected in a burglary that happened at Glamour Peluqueria Unisex on Ashley Phosphate Road. Investigators say he broke into the business and stole $400 of cash sometime between June 15 and June 16.
Roberts is being held at Al Cannon Detention Center.
