25-year-old killed in North Charleston hit and run; police investigating

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A 25-year-old man was killed Thursday after being struck overnight in North Charleston.

Jermaine Brown of Orangeburg died on the scene after being injured in a hit-and-run collision around midnight on Otranto Road, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to the crash near Vistavia Road shortly after midnight and found Mr. Brown.

Detectives with the agency are searching for the driver involved. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the North Charleston Police Department.
