88-year-old killed in fatal Moncks Corner traffic accident

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – An 88-year-old man has died after a fatal traffic collision on N. Highway 52 Thursday afternoon.

Christopher Jenkins of St. Stephen was pronounced dead on the scene in Moncks Corner around 12:51 p.m., according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.

Jenkins was the only occupant of a 2005 Lexus SUV that was involved in the crash.

Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and the Moncks Corner Fire Department all responded to the scene.

Both the coroner’s office and Moncks Corner PD are investigating the collision.
