Georgetown County seeking person of interest in Andrews burglary
ANDREWS, S.C. (WCBD) – Georgetown County deputies are looking to identify a person of interest in a May 22 burglary case.
Officials said someone forced a door open and entered a Cherry Street home, and stole a laptop, two cellphones, and two jars of change that had roughly $400 in them, along with a black wallet containing important personal information and credit cards.
“The neighborhood was canvassed and one witness reported seeing a black male by the big tree stump in the victim’s yard wearing a black hooded sweater, dark grey pants, and a backpack,” the sheriff’s office said.
Surveillance video obtained by the sheriff’s office appears to show a man fitting the suspect’s description entering a Food Lion in Andrews about an hour after the alleged burglary, carrying a jar full of change.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office by calling 843-546-5102.
