Deputies arrest man in deadly Harbor Lake Drive stabbing case

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a deadly weekend stabbing in the Goose Creek area.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Harbor Lake Drive around 6 a.m. Sunday for a reported stabbing.

According to the sheriff’s office, a witness told authorities that her friend had been stabbed in the chest. That person, 21-year-old Lucas Mortins, of Summerville, was taken to an area hospital but did not survive.

Miguel Henrique Santos de Oliviera was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

He is being held on a $2,000,000 bond. Oliviera is also being held on an ICE detainer, according to the sheriff’s office.

An investigation is ongoing.
