Teen accused of breaking into 7 vehicles in Park Circle, police say
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police in North Charleston have arrested an 18-year-old accused of breaking into at least seven vehicles early Monday.
Xzavion Mack was charged with seven counts of tampering with a motor vehicle. He’s currently in custody at the Al Cannon Detention, held on a $3,000 bond.
Officers received a call about a man breaking into a vehicle in the 4700 block of Old Park Road around 5:30 a.m. Monday, according to Harve Jacobs with the North Charleston Police Department.
Police spotted a suspect matching the man’s description soon after arriving on the scene, but when the suspect, identified as Mack, saw officers, he fled.
A foot chase ensued into the woods, and authorities were able to arrest Mack when he tried to flee down nearby railroad tracks, Jacobs explained.
