Summerville PD announce Memorial Day weekend safety checkpoints
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Officers in Summerville will be out in full force keeping the roads safe over Memorial Day weekend.
As a result of the holiday, Summerville Police are conducting increased patrols and setting up checkpoints to ensure drivers are being responsible.
Extra checkpoints and patrols will start at 6 p.m. with stops at West Carolina Avenue, South Main Street, and Brighton Park Drive.
“The Summerville Police Department is committed to protecting our community, including conducting DUI patrols and checkpoints as the holiday season begins,” the agency said.
