Crews to inspect Shem Creek boardwalks, bridges

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Inspections are set to begin Monday on Shem Creek’s boardwalks and bridges.

The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services will perform above-water and underwater inspections Monday through Friday, according to the town.

While town officials said there won’t be any closures of the boardwalk during inspections, they ask all boaters and pedestrians to “remain alert and cautious” during the project.

“A diver safety boat will be present, as divers will be conducting underwater inspections of town infrastructure. For everyone’s safety, please pay close attention to the safety boat and maintain a safe distance from the inspection areas at all times,” the town said.
