CCSD staff to hold meeting on new Johns Island Elementary School
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County School District staff members will hold a community meeting Thursday to update stakeholders on the status of a new Johns Island school.
Johns Island Elementary School will be a two-story, brick building that will hold roughly 700 students from second to fifth grade.
During the meeting, staff members are expected to discuss the road improvement and traffic plan, which prompted some concerns from nearby neighborhoods, including an increase in traffic.
The school is on target to open in August when the new school year begins. Registration is open.
Thursday’s meeting will be held in the St. Johns High School cafeteria (1518 Main Road) at 6 p.m.
