1 dead, 1 detained in Hanahan incident, police say

HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Hanahan are investigating what they called a deadly “incident” Monday night.

Officers with the Hanahan Police Department responded to an address on Bowen Pier Drive just after 9 p.m. and found one person dead.

Police said one person has been detained.

“We ask that everyone please avoid the area for the time being,” the police department said.
