Charleston Greek Festival returns May 9-11

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The 54th annual Charleston Greek Festival returns this weekend.

The event, which aims to highlight Greek culture, will take place over a three-day weekend at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.

Organizers say it’s the third-largest festival in Charleston, dating back to 1970, and typically draws more than 35,000 attendees each year. It features plenty of delicious food, wine, live music, dancing and so much more.

General admission costs $5, and seniors/students can purchase tickets for $3. Veterans and children 12 and under enter for free.

There will be free parking and a shuttle service at the Citadel football stadium.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE:

Friday, May 9 – 4-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 10 – 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, May 11 – 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday’s Church Service – 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
