Ashley Landing celebratory kickoff planned Wednesday morning

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A celebratory kick-off is planned Wednesday for the future site of what could be a “transformative, vibrant” community hub.

Ashley Landing is a 32-acre mixed-use development that will encompass over 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, nearly 300 multi-family units, 100 townhomes, and roughly an acre of central green space.

Charleston Mayor Williams Cogswell and members of Charleston City Council are expected to attend Wednesday’s kickoff celebration.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and will feature a series of speakers.
