1 injured in Sunday night shooting on Renau Blvd., deputies say

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – One person was injured in a shooting Sunday night in Summerville, according to deputies.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10 p.m. to the Dorchester County Fire Rescue station on W. Fifth North Street regarding a shooting victim who needed medical attention.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said the shooting happened on Renau Boulevard. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect information was given.

“This investigation remains active, and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office will share more information as it becomes available,” said Steven Wright, public information officer for the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
