Section of Dorchester Road closed from down power lines

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A section of a busy North Charleston roadway is currently blocked off due to downed power lines.

Dorchester Road at Constitution Avenue is shut down in both directions after a power pole and lines fell.

Traffic is being rerouted while crews work to clear the scene, the North Charleston Police Department said.

A collision that resulted in minor injuries caused the pole to fall.
