8 injured, including 6 children, in Easter crash on I-95

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Eight people, including six children, were injured in an Easter Sunday crash on I-95.

Colleton County Fire Rescue said the accident involved an SUV and a semi-truck on I-95 at the northbound 53 exit.

Officials said the SUV overturned after the impact. The victims were initially treated at the scene before they were taken to Colleton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver was not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
