Blessing of the Inlet to celebrate its 29th anniversary

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WBTW) — The 29th Blessing of the Inlet is set to bring food, fun, and fellowship to the South Strand on the first Saturday of May.

The annual rain or shine event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 2 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church.

Artisans and craft vendors will be at the event, as well as a variety of foods from church groups, local restaurants, and food trucks. There will also be a children’s play area with a waterslide, bounce houses, and games.

An inlet blessing ceremony will highlight the event at 10 a.m., held at the Seawall Cross behind Belin Church. The festival offering will be given to support the building of a HOPE container home with Habitat for Humanity of Georgetown County, which brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
