Dorchester School District Two makes Chad Daugherty superintendent

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Dorchester School District Two board members have been named who will be the permanent replacement for former superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins.

Interim Superintendent Chad Daugherty was voted in as the permanent replacement at Monday night’s DD2 board meeting after the board returned from executive session.

His annual salary will be $210,000, and the contract is for three years.

“First and foremost, thank you. You obviously have stepped up for our school district during a very difficult time. So we are very, very appreciative of what you have been able to do in a short period of time,” said Board Member Justin Farnsworth.

Cheers from the entire board erupted after the motion officially carried.

Daughtery was named interim on Mar. 10, after Dr. Robbins retired from his post early in what was a ‘mutual agreement.”
