Roads to close amid emergency repairs at 2 North Charleston railroad crossings

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Emergency repairs at two North Charleston railroad crossings could impact traffic later this week.

Braddock Avenue will close Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and S. Rhett Avenue will close Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

CSX Transportation said it would perform emergency track repair after a rail defect was identified in the two crossings. It will require the roads to be completely closed.

Southern Commercial Development, LLC will work with CSX Transportation in providing traffic control and detour signage during the work.
