Deputies investigating Reevesville homicide; 1 in custody

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies in Dorchester County are investigating a Wednesday evening homicide in Reevesville.

Shortly after 6 p.m., the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported shooting on Wire Road, the agency said.

When they arrived, they found a deceased male on the scene. One person has been arrested in connection to the incident, although the sheriff’s office did not share their identity. 

The roadway was closed for some time while deputies completed an initial investigation.
