Crash closes eastbound lanes at Rivers Ave. and Greenridge Rd.
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A crash between a truck and a utility pole is snarling traffic in North Charleston.
The North Charleston Police Department said all eastbound lanes of Rives Avenue at Greenridge Road were shut down around 3:15 p.m. The closure includes the US 52 Connector heading onto I-26 and Ashley Phosphate Road.
A spokesman for Dominion Energy told News 2 that a truck had hit overhead telecommunications lines, bringing down a utility pole and wires. Power has been restored to the majority of customers in the area.
Crews will remain on the scene throughout the evening to make final repairs.
