Garden and Gun moving headquarters to Old Charleston Jail
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)—A national magazine that highlights the South is moving its headquarters to a historic spot in downtown Charleston.
Garden and Gun is set to begin operating out of the Old Charleston Jail on Magazine Street this summer, according to an announcement from Landmark Enterprises.
“I can’t think of a better company to move their headquarters to 21 Magazine Street than Garden & Gun,” said Jason Ward, President and Principal of Landmark Enterprises. “It was extremely important that we find the right partner to occupy the space. This collaboration is the culmination of our seven-year dedication to the historic venue, and we are thrilled to share our walls with the talented Garden & Gun team.”
The 18-year-old magazine highlights the best of the South, whether its culture, style, or tradition.
“As we embark on our next chapter at G&G, 21 Magazine Street provides the perfect blend of history and functionality,” said Rebecca Wesson Darwin, President and CEO of Garden & Gun.
Landmark Enterprises recently completed a restoration of the Old Charleston Jail, built in 1802, for $15 million. The project began after Landmark acquired the property in 2016.
The space is now anchored by the event venue Twenty-One Magazine.
