Dorchester County deputies arrest man with ‘violent criminal history’
ST. GEORGE, S.C. (WCBD) – A man with multiple active warrants was arrested this week after he attempted to evade law enforcement.
Deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday and an address on Home Farm Road in St. George to apprehend Timothy Nadeau.
Officials with the sheriff’s office said Nadeau had a violent criminal history, which included making threats against the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team. As a precaution, multiple deputies were dispatched to the address for Nadeau’s arrest.
Deputies quickly located Nadeau on the property and ordered him to surrender; however, the man ran off toward a nearby wooded area.
Nadeau was apprehended with the help of Dorchester County K-9 Yoda. Once in custody, officials say Nadea tried to give deputies false information.
He was arrested for resisting arrest, providing false information to police, and having multiple active warrants out in Berkeley County and the Department of Probation and Parole.
Nadeau was taken to the L.C. Knight Detention Center after being treated at a local hospital for injuries he received while being apprehended.
