SC Forestry crews respond to fire near Pineville
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – South Carolina forestry officials are actively responding Thursday to a brush fire in upper Berkeley County.
The fire has impacted roughly 300 acres off Sandlapper Lane. No structures were threatened as of 2:30 p.m.
A public information coordinator for the South Carolina Forestry Commission said they are utilizing an aircraft for aerial observation. Four dozers were brought in to plow firebreaks around the fire.
An additional dozer is being brought in to help. No other details were provided.

The wildfire comes as forecasters warned this week of an elevated fire danger because of relatively low humidity, dry conditions, and gusty winds. A statewide outdoor burning ban has been in place for nearly a week.
