1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on Treeland Drive

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly multi-vehicle crash near Ladson.

Corporal Lena Butler with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened Sunday around 12:30 a.m. on Treeland Drive near Tall Pines Road.

A GMC Sierra pickup truck and Cadillac Escalade were headed east on Treeland Dr. when they collided with a westbound Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Toyota was injured and died at the scene. The Cadillac’s driver was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Trooper Butler said the driver and passenger of the GMC were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
