Gateway to Housing launches plan to combat Lowcountry homelessness

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A unique program meant to reduce homelessness in the Lowcountry is launching a new community training program.

Gateway to Housing pairs property owners with individuals at risk of experiencing homelessness, creating a low-barrier housing model.

It’s the first program of its kind in South Carolina and aims to change the housing landscape in the Lowcountry.

The organization will unveil new branding and a community training program meant to expand its reach.

The unveiling is set for Friday, March 21 at 10:45 a.m. at the Neighbors Together Headquarters in North Charleston.
