Driver ejected, killed after hitting several trees along Highway 45 in McClellanville
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A driver was killed Wednesday after they were ejected during a crash on Highway 45 in McClellanville.
Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Highway 45 and Old Georgetown Road around 6 p.m.
It is believed the vehicle was headed north on Highway 45 when it left the roadway and hit several trees. The driver, who was the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The coroner’s office will identify the driver when appropriate.
Officials say the crash is under investigation. They ask that anyone with information contact the sheriff’s office by calling 843-202-1700.
