Motorcyclist dies in crash near Andrews

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A motorcyclist was killed in a Saturday afternoon crash near Andrews.

Master Trooper William Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle crash happened around 4:20 p.m. off Saints Delight Road near the intersection with Myrtlewood Lane.

According to Trooper Bennett, the motorcyclist was headed south on Saints Delight Road when they ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

The driver, who was the only occupant, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

It remains under investigation.
