Man hurt in Piedmont Ave. shooting, suspect detained

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting that left a man injured.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to Piedmont Avenue just before 9:30 a.m.

Once there, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

North Charleston PD said a suspect has been detained for questioning; however, no charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
