Westies, bagpipes, and comfort bites at Second Sunday
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A parade of Westie pups will take over Second Sunday on King Street.
The westie parade, yes, the little white dogs, happens around 2 p.m. with a stop at Woof Gang Bakery for a photo shoot and treats.
Devine South Bakery, which recently opened on Clements Ferry Road, will showcase its Chocolate Haven products on lower King.
Check out Papa Grande Comfort Bites; The food truck will be serving up bao buns, churros, taco flights.
Hawaiian-style food truck Shaka Shrimp will bring island flavors to Second Sunday.
Second Sunday is a once-monthly event that closes King Street from Queen Street to Calhoun Street for roughly five hours to allow people to stroll along the entire roadway without vehicles or parked cars while enjoying friends, family, and local businesses.
It is a great opportunity to explore the local shops and restaurants Charleston has to offer.
Second Sunday gets underway from noon through 5:00 p.m.
