Crash involving tanker closes I-26 east near MM 190

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Eastbound lanes on I-26 are blocked Friday afternoon following a crash involving a tanker truck.

Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened near the 190 mile marker and that diesel fuel leaked onto the roadway.

Traffic is exiting at mile marker 189, and motorists can take Volvo Car Drive to US 176 to Jedburg Road and back onto I-26.

Drivers should expect delays in the area.
