Law enforcement searching for suspects in series of neighborhood car break-ins
DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Dorchester County deputies are searching for suspects connected to a string of recent car break-ins that took place in numerous neighborhoods.
The break-ins occurred overnight Monday into the early morning hours of Tuesday. Neighborhoods along Orangeburg Road and West Butternut Road were hit, including the Reserve at Mallard Crossing, Plum Creek, Summer Glen, Dorchester Regency, Hickory Ridge, and Carriage Hill.

“It is critically important that our citizens lock their doors,” Dorchester County Sheriff Sam Richardson said. “When you fail to do so, you make it easy for criminals to commit these crimes and steal your valuables. Help the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office keep our community safe. Lock it. Don’t lose it.”
