Multiple structures impacted by Georgetown County fire, officials said

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Firefighters in Georgetown County are responding Saturday to a large structure fire.

Officials with Georgetown County Fire and EMS said the fire is burning off Kent Road. 

They said multiple structures are involved.

“Please avoid the area as firefighters work to bring the fire under control,” fire officials said.

No other details were provided.

The county implemented a burn ban earlier this week effective until further notice due to increased fire risk.
