Argument leads to fatal shooting in Ridgeville: CCSO

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man died Monday night after an argument escalated into a shooting, the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office explained.

Deputies responded to the area of La Dolce Avenue in Ridgeville around 11:30 p.m. after a 911 caller reported an argument had led to gunshots fired.

When authorities arrived, they found a deceased man in the roadway, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives have identified potential suspects thanks to witness information.

The Colleton County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to submit tips anonymously by calling (843) 549-2211 or submitting a tip through the online portal on the sheriff’s office website.
