1 dead following Mount Pleasant house fire, police confirm

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – An investigation is underway following a deadly Mount Pleasant house fire.

Emergency crews responded to a home on Yachtsman Drive in the Dunes West community on Friday around 9:43 p.m.

Sgt. Robert Blaschke with the Mount Pleasant Police Department confirmed Monday morning that one person died because of the fire but added that the fire did not appear to be intentional.
