NCPD to discuss uptick in vehicle break-ins

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department will discuss Monday a recent uptick in vehicle break-ins.

Department leaders will explain what they are doing to stop these types of break-ins and what citizens can do to avoid becoming a victim.

Officers say there are simple steps everyone can follow to deter thieves including locking your car and removing valuables from view.

North Charleston PD will provide additional tips to keep your property safe during a news conference scheduled for 11 a.m. at North Charleston City Hall.
