US Marshals arrest suspected North Charleston McDonald’s shooter
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – US Marshals arrested a 21-year-old man Thursday who is believed to have shot another individual at a North Charleston McDonald’s.
Angelo Thompson was charged by detectives with attempted murder, according to the North Charleston Police Department. Thompson was apprehended on Myers Road with the help of Berkeley County deputies.
North Charleston officers responded to the McDonald’s on Ashley Phosphate Road at the intersection of Northside Drive around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 6.
When they arrived, they found a victim suffering from several gunshot wounds inside the restaurant lobby. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
During the initial investigation, multiple witnesses gave information to detectives on the scene.
Thompson is booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
