Georgetown man sentenced to prison for sexual assault and possessing drugs

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – A 38-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday for sexually assaulting a minor and possessing drugs, according to the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Anthony Lemar Bostic, of Georgetown, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and second-offense possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine before being sentenced by Circuit Court Judge David P. Caraker, Jr.

Judge Caraker sentenced Bostic to 15 years for the criminal sexual conduct charge and 15 years for the possession charge, with the sentences to run concurrently, meaning at the same time.

Once Bostic is released, he must register as a sex offender and wear an ankle monitor for the remainder of his life, the solicitor’s office said.

“Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office worked both cases and arrested Bostic,” Assistant Solicitor George Henry Martin said. “We appreciate the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office for bringing this defendant to justice.”
