Detours in place for Isle of Palms crosswalk improvement project
ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – Work to improve crosswalks along a stretch of Palm Boulevard will begin Wednesday morning.
The work will occur between 21st and 41st Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.
Drivers will be “detoured down avenues, utilizing Cameron or Hartnett Blvd to loop back to Palm Blvd on the next avenue,” according to the Isle of Palms Police Department.
Police will direct traffic at each crosswalk. People are asked to use caution when traveling in the area and to follow instructions from police.
