Open house to focus on rural transportation project in McClellanville

MCCLELLANVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Residents living in McClellanville are encouraged to attend a public meeting Monday evening focused on identifying rural public transportation efforts.

The event, an open house-style gathering, will help the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments develop a Rural Long-Range Transportation Plan.

Information gathered will identify local transportation needs and help develop rural long-range transportation project priorities for funding over the next twenty years.

The open house will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at McClellanville Town Hall (405 Pinckney Street).

People are encouraged to participate in the planning process by attending the open house or by completing a community input survey online.
