Sand Hill Elementary receives News 2 Cool School award

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Fun and learning go hand in hand at Sand Hill Elementary, a National Blue Ribbon School.

The Dorchester School District Two School offers a rigorous and engaging academic experience – and this week they received the News 2 Cool School award.

There is no shortage of fun at Sand Hill Elementary, a school with more than 1,200 students, rigorous academics always take center stage. SHES was named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School, one of only four schools in South Carolina to receive this honor last year.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes schools that have students who perform at high levels or show significant academic improvement.

Principal Vincent Joy says it’s all thanks to hard work and a positive school culture.

Congratulations Sand Hill Sandpipers!
