North Charleston police investigate Wales Court homicide

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are investigating a deadly Sunday night shooting at a North Charleston townhome community.

Officers responded to an address on Wales Court, not far from Dorchester Road, after receiving calls from multiple people saying they heard gunshots.

A report from the North Charleston Police Department said it was also learned that someone was on the ground not moving.

When officers arrived, they found the victim’s mother attempting CPR in the driveway near the front door of a residence. Officers and first responders took over life-saving measures; however, the victim, aged 18, did not survive.

There have not been any arrests in this case. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
