Head-on crash in Berkeley County leaves 2 dead

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Two drivers were killed in a Saturday night head-on crash.

Master Trooper William Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the collision happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on College Park Road near the intersection with Edgebrook Drive.

A 2017 Dodge Durango was traveling west on College Park Road when it was struck head-on by an eastbound 2018 Dodge Ram.

The driver of the Dodge Durango, who was the only occupant, died at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Dodge Ram were taken to a local hospital with injuries; however, the driver of that vehicle died.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
