Cyber tip leads to Charleston County man’s arrest for sexual exploitation of minors
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a Charleston County man on multiple charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force received a cyber tip that multiple files were uploaded to a chat server that consisted of children in states of sexually explicit nudity or engaging in sexual activity.
A search warrant was executed Thursday at the home of Matthew Hollar, 53, where he was arrested on eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree.
Hollar remains booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
