Chick-fil-A announces opening date for Ladson Road restaurant
LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – Chick-fil-A will begin serving customers at its new Ladson Road restaurant this week.
Construction near the intersection of Ladson Road and Palmetto Commerce Parkway got underway last summer, and will officially open its doors to the public on Thursday, January 9 at 6 a.m.
The restaurant, known for its original fried chicken sandwiches, brings roughly 150 full-time and part-time jobs to the area.
To celebrate the grand opening, Chick-fil-A will recognize 100 local heroes who make an impact in the Ladson area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Additionally, Chick-fil-A says it has donated $25,000 to Feeding America and the funds will be distributed to local partners helping to fight hunger in the Charleston community.
It also plans to participate in the “Chick-fil-A Shared Table” program, which redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits in need.
Daniel Dickerson will serve as owner-operator of the Ladson Road location. Dickerson brings with him more than 20 years of serving guests and team members as the owner-operator of the Chick-fil-A on Dorchester Road, which he will continue to lead.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity to serve as the local Owner-Operator of another restaurant in the community I grew up in,” said Dickerson. “I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with Guests and Team Members here for more than 20 years, and I’m looking forward to creating those same connections at Chick-fil-A Ladson Road.”
The restaurant joins more than 25 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the Charleston Metro area. It will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, and mobile ordering.
