Dirt bike accident in Georgetown County leaves man dead

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man has died following a dirt bike accident in the Oatland community of Georgetown County.

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to location on Oatland Drive just before 6 p.m. regarding an unresponsive person.

That person, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at 6:59 p.m. at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital from injuries related to an accident near Oatland Park, the agency said.

Officials said witnesses were uncooperative with deputies while they tried to determine details of the accident.
