2-year-old killed in Horry County after falling out of, getting struck by utility vehicle

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 2-year-old died Saturday evening after falling out of utility vehicle and then being struck by it, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

It happened shortly after 5:15 p.m. on Bay View Drive, about 12 miles north of Loris. Authorities said four people were inside the vehicle, including a pair of 2-year-olds.

One of them fell into the road and was then struck by the vehicle, officials said.
