North Charleston police arrest man accused in two gas station robberies

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a man accused of robbing two North Charleston convenience stores just a few hours apart.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to a Sunoco on Ladson Road around 9:30 p.m. Saturday where a clerk said a man entered the store and implied that he had a gun. Police say the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

Officers later responded to a robbery at the Spinx gas station on West Montague Avenue around 2 a.m. The suspect was described as wearing clothing similar to the suspect’s in the earlier robbery.

No one was hurt in this incident.

The suspect, 30-year-old Nickolas Ravenell, was located near Bennett Yard Road. He is being charged with both robberies, according to North Charleston police.

Bennett is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
