Man injured in Williamsburg County hunting accident, SCDNR says

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – One person was injured in a Saturday afternoon hunting accident in Williamsburg County.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said a deer hunter suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

SCDNR said the hunter was taken to an area hospital for treatment; however, his injures were not considered life-threatening.

DNR officers are investigating the incident.
