Holiday decorations spark Hanahan house fire
HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) — The Hanahan Fire Department responded to an early morning house fire, which was ignited by holiday decorations.
Crews responded to a residence on Yeamans Hall Rd on Thursday morning for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found the front porch on fire.
The Hanahan Fire Department said crews quickly extinguished the fire while simultaneously searching for any trapped occupants.
The fire did not damage any surrounding structures. Fire officials determined the fire was caused by an overloaded electrical outlet that powered holiday decorations.
