Daniel Island Publix temporarily closes for expansion

DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — The Publix on Daniel Island is closed temporarily for renovation and is expected to reopen in late 2025.

The store located at 162 Seven Farms Dr closed Tuesday for an extensive renovation and expansion.

Store officials said the Publix is expected to double in size, expanding from 29,030 square feet to 50,398 square feet. The new design is expected to incorporate Lowcountry-inspired elements.

Daniel Island store employees were offered the opportunity to relocate to another Publix location until the renovation is complete.
